The History of the Shinai Explorations
This series was started by a powerful group in Ontario Canada.
Max Andranov, set out with his two best friends David Gutierrez and Anton Kadatsev to explore this wonderful creation. None of them have ever trained any Martial Art of any kind before. They wanted to see if they could learn how to use this thing called a “sword” all on their own. They started documenting their process on film from their very first day fighting in the form of documented chapters to see if a progression could take place. And a progression took place indeed. Max Andranov started posting their chapters on Google video under the Title of “Shinai Wars,” because they were just not fighting a battle in front of them, they learned through their experience with fighting with the Shinai that they were also fighting a battle within themselves. They realized through this experiment that one could learn to face fears and struggles within oneself and learn how to conquer and be cause over them instead of just being effect of them.
The “Shinai Wars” Chapters took off very quickly and became very popular online on Google video. One day Max Andranov was contacted by a fan named Caleb Madrid in Northern California, USA who had the same purpose and who was on very much of a similar path. Caleb Madrid started an Organization called Galaxy of the Guardian Order and a concept that broke all the boundaries in the field of Self Defense and started a new revolution called GUARDIAN ART. Caleb Madrid and his brothers and sisters from the Galaxy of the Guardian Order, Andy Nguyen, Royce Regua, Derrick Lao, and Alejandra Martinez, were setting out on this very same experiment before they discovered the Shinai Wars series. When Caleb Madrid contacted Max Andranov they instantly became brothers and decided for the Galaxy of the Guardian Order to come aboard to start documenting their progress with them under the same name. Caleb Madrid suggested a name change to his brothers in Canada for that the both groups were evolving to where the name was no longer suitable for what was being known and discovered. The name “Shinai Explorations” came about and both groups in Canada and California agreed that this name was more suitable and it defined what they were discovering, expressing and communicating accurately. And so this is how the “Shinai Explorations” was born. The Galaxy of the Guardian Order started documenting their chapters under the title of “Shinai Explorations-California Chronicles” and their brothers and sisters in Canada used the title of “Shinai Explorations” for their documentation.
In July in the summer of 2007, the two groups united in Canada at the Moon River in Ontario and filmed there very first epic documentation film “Shinai Explorations The Movie: The Shinai Spirit”.
